Aside from being a bully, she was childish and selfish.
I didn’t find her ‘cool’ at all, I just felt like she tried to hard. She was unnecessarily violent to the point of being a bully. It seemed like Gina was going for kick-ass heroine, but it didn’t work for Lex. I couldn’t connect with Lex at all, and I didn’t particularly like her. The love interest in Croak helps give the story a serious underlining.How did I feel about this book? Meh. The story really picks up when Lex discovers what her Uncle actually does, and what she is capable of. She’s not afraid to explore and figure things out. I enjoy the main character Lex, she is witty and straightforward. Review: Gina Damico combines humor and an unusual fantasy world. What will she do as she steps deeper into the world of Croak. Her obsession grows as the bodies pile up, Lex is caught between wanting to succeed in stopping the culprit & joining forces to seek vengeance. So when people start to die-people who aren’t supposed to be dying, people who have committed heinous crimes against the innocent-Lex’s curiosity is piqued. Yet her natural ability morphs into an unchecked desire for justice-or is it?-whenever she’s forced to Kill a murder victim, craving to stop the attackers before they can strike again. Along with her intriguing partner Driggs. And Lex is going to secretly learn the business behind her parents back.
